BBM Overview: PPM Ratings - Dec. 2011
As the winter winds start to blow, the radio landscape is heating up with the latest PPM radio ratings. Today's radio release from BBM completes the thirteen week period covering August 29th to November 27th. This marks the ninth 13 week period in the new era of measurement for Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Let's take a look at some of the numbers.
Toronto: Bragging rights at the top of the ratings heap go to CHFI-FM with a 13.0% share of hours tuned for A12+ (up from 12.6% last time out). CHFI-FM remains #1 with the ladies 25-54, posting a 17.3% share (up from 16.5%) followed by CHUM-FM with a 16.6% share (up from 15.7%). Q107 is, once again, on top for males 25-54, posting a 12.4% share (flat with 12.4% in the last 13 week book). The Edge holds a substantial edge over the competition with M18-34 turning in a 20.4% share (up from 17.9 %). For F18-34, CHFI-FM tops the list posting an 18.9% (up from 15.4%) share followed by CHUM-FM a 14.4% (up from 13.3%) share of hours tuned.
Vancouver: CKNW holds the #1 spot for A12+ with a 11.0% share of hours tuned (down from 11.5% last time out). Taking the top spot for F25-54 was perennial office station favourite 103.5QM-FM, posting a 14.7% share (up from 14.3%). The Beat holds the lead with M25-54 listeners, delivering a 9.5% share (down from 11.1%). The FOX leaps to the top of the list for M18-34 with 17.1% share of hrs. tuned (up from 11.0%) followed by the Beat 16.1% (down from 19.2%). When it comes to Females 18-34, the Beat takes top spot with a 16.7% share (down from 17.0%).
Edmonton: 630 CHED rules the roost for A12+ posting a 10.1% share of hours tuned (down from 10.2% last time out). 102.3 NOW! Radio takes top spot for F25-54, delivering a 12.6% share (up from 11.7%). NOW! also tops the list for M25-54 with a 12.9% share (up from 12.4%) followed by The Bear at 10.6% (up from 10.3%). For M18-34, 102.3 NOW is out in front delivering a 15.3% (up from 13.6%) followed by Sonic 102.9 with a 15.3% (down from 16.9%) share.
Calgary: QR77 leads the way for A12+ with a 10.4% share (up from 8.9%). Country 105 is popular with the ladies, taking #1 spot for F25-54, delivering a 12.8% share (up from 12.5%) followed closely by 98.5 Virgin at 12.7% (up from 10.6%). For M25-54, CJA92 leads the way with a 10.2% share (up from a 9.5%) followed by Q107 with 10.0% (up from 8.5%). CJAY92 takes top spot for M18-34, posting a 12.4% share (up from 11.9%).
